Summary
Performs assigned duties, under direction of experienced personnel, to gain knowledge and experience required to become an experienced and dynamic employee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works closely with Accounting department employees to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of duties.
Learns the staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
Education and/or Experience
A recent graduate, or enrolled college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid Texas Class C or higher driver’s license with a good driving record as measured by MidSouth criteria.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and the use of computers and computer software applications.
Ability to work independently and use discretion in making good judgment decisions regarding areas of responsibilities.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and complete reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external customers.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to organize workload, establish priorities and meet established deadlines.
Ability to multi-task and work in a high-energy, fast paced environment and adapt to constantly changing priorities and situations.
Experience
