There are some chicken sellers that buy old egged-out hens from egg production factories and sell them as "new layers"
Use caution for sellers selling lots of chickens "REAL cheep!" Not a good idea as many are used up, older, or possibly sick hens that were considered the "cull" chickens sold to resellers in batches of unwanted old factory hens.
