Paid Time Off (PTO) program COMPENSATION $20 / hour SUMMARY The position of Excavator Operator will be tasked with operating multiple pieces of equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a safety-first attitude.
This position requires management resources to adherence to all company standards, policies, and procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely and efficiently operate excavating machinery, primarily excavators, to load and unload materials, dig trenches, and perform other excavation tasks as required.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the equipment to ensure its optimal performance and identify any repairs or adjustments needed.
Follow established procedures and safety protocols while operating the excavator, including proper signaling and communication with other workers.
Coordinate with the supervisor or other team members to prioritize and execute excavation tasks according to production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including materials moved, equipment hours, and any incidents or issues encountered.
Adhere to environmental regulations and guidelines to prevent any negative impact on the surroundings during excavation operations.
Follow company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Skills and Experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Prior experience safely operating heavy mobile equipment or the aggregates industry is preferred.
General maintenance abilities are required.
Proficient knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety requirements.
Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.
Other Requirements Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in the aggregate or construction industry Valid excavator operator's license or certification Excellent understanding of excavator operations, controls, and maintenance procedures Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to excavator operations Ability to read and interpret site plans and blueprints Physical stamina and strength to operate the equipment for extended periods Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members Attention to detail and ability to work with precision Willingness to work in outdoor environments and adapt to changing weather conditions
