This role is within the Transmission Line Operations department and based out of EMF in LaGrange, TX.
In this role, an employee will focus on transmission line right of ways, using heavy equipment and chemicals to maintain them.
You will be trusted to:
Operates equipment as assigned for construction projects.
Maintains equipment.
Inspects, cleans, adjusts, lubricates, and makes minor adjustments and repairs
on the equipment or may make arrangements for major repairs and overhaul as needed.
Participates in training to gain greater knowledge of procedures, tools, and safe equipment operation
pertinent to assigned work area.
Transports heavy equipment (e.
g.
, backhoe, dump truck, small excavator and large excavator).
Loads, hauls and unloads various equipment.
Assists and/or directs lower level employees (such as helpers and temporary workers) in the practice of
safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
Interprets and follows all safety departmental policies and procedures.
Maintains understanding and compliance of permitted loads.
Performs work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations, power
plants, water systems, etc.
) as scheduled.
You qualify with:
- Zero or more years of experience in operating large equipment, such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, cranes, tractor trailers, farm equipment or other machinery.
You are a great fit with:
- Class A Texas commercial driver's license or equivalent from another state
-TDA Herbicide Applicator's License
