Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Technician to join our team.
As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of equipment.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments - Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to determine the root cause of problems - Repair and replace faulty components or parts as needed - Conduct brake repairs and replacements - Solder electrical connections as necessary - Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform repairs - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities - Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times - Assist with equipment installation and setup as required Experience: - Proven experience (3 years minimum) as a Service Technician or similar role - Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance principles and practices - Ability to maintain and repair various types of equipment - Proficiency in brake repair techniques - Familiarity with soldering electrical connections - Proficient in using hand tools and specialized equipment - Knowledge of hydraulics is a plus - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks - Experience working on and operating heavy machinery such as Caterpillar, John Deere and Peterbilt is preferred We offer competitive pay based on experience.
