Description: Position Overview The Welder position is critical to support plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
This position requires the ability to weld.
Primary duties include performing the layout of work and all types of welding on stationery and mobile equipment.
May also assist in maintenance work or other work as assigned.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Perform layout work.
All types of welding.
Work on large equipment and mobile equipment.
Assist in maintenance work.
Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
One to two years related experience and/or training.
Bilingual, a plus.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction and paving and can use such tools properly and safely.
Ability to read, write, and accurately perform basic mathematical functions including adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Must possess knowledge of Company policies and procedures, including safety.
Must consistently produce and efficient, accurate work product.
Work Requirements Must be at least 18 years in age or older.
Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
Must pass post-offer employment drug testing, medical exams, and physical agilities testing.
Ability to work on large equipment Ability to work in small spaces.
Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required Able to use oxygen/acetylene torches Horizontal and Vertical and Overhead welding Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
Must be at least 18 years in age or older.

Able to stand, walk, balance, pull, push, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), kneel, reach, grasp (use of both hands), squat, repetitive motions, talk and hear.
Able to use hands, wrists and fingers to manipulate objects or controls and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.
·Able to use both feet.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work extended periods of time in same position.
Tolerate Heights.
Able to work in all weather conditions.
