Staff Accountant

Position Summary: Experienced Staff Accountant that will work directly with our Cost Accountant and Accounting Manager.
Must have general accounting knowledge and be able to prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Job Description: Work directly with Accounting Manager and Manufacturing Cost Analyst Journal entry preparation Daily cash receipt posting Assist with accounts receivable invoice submissions to customers Research disputed invoices Billable freight – research and preparation (updating log) for AR invoicing Working with PM to determine status of GTC (Good to Close) work orders and identifying when the work orders will be actually completed Tracking Ready To Ship documents/invoices for submission to customers Coordinate with Quality Control to submit final inspection forms to customers as part of required invoice documentation Preparation of Deferred Revenue Report throughout the month Fixed Assets Management Manage Advance to Vendors account and assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations Participate in year-end audit Assistance with accounts payable when needed Preferred Education and Experience: Degree in Accounting/Finance Three (3) years in the field or related field Excellent verbal and analytical skills Experience with Microsoft Excel and different types of ERP systems AR experience – basic experience with invoice submission portals (i.
e.
, OpenInvoice, Ariba) Detail oriented Takes initiative; self-starter; able to think “outside the box” and resolve invoicing issues Team player: eagerness to learn and strong communication skills Physical Strain: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
