The role of Foreman will drive all aspects of the onsite team or shift, including safety, team output, configuration changes, collaboration, and coordination with our customers.
This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required.
This involves ensuring all Company and legal regulations are implemented, that all required documentation is completed as necessary and recording daily work on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and promote safe work/conditions on-site:
Implement company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to HSE legislation and quality.
Carry out and record site inspections.
Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings.
Ensure site personnel have job relevant training requirements.
Provide direction and feedback to assigned team members.
Ensure the completion of works on time and within budget Schedule.
Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of site operatives.
Schedule employee shifts and assign duties.
Provide knowledge transfer to all appropriate parties and team members.
Complete all required documentation.
Ensure documentation is properly completed in line with Customer/Company requirements.
Track and document daily work productions and report to Project Manager.
Organize and monitor the work of assigned team members and subcontractors on-site.
Equipment and materials management
Work with Project Manager to order and manage internal and procured equipment daily (i.
e.
, Lifts)
Coordinate delivery/pick up/storage of materials as required.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cable routing and placement.
Requirements
1-5 year of supervisory experience preferred
Minimum 3 years experience installing and servicing voice and data systems in a commercial environment or 1+ years’ experience of work in a structured cabling environment
Management of teams between 4-10 people
High School diploma or equivalent required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills desired
Some travel required, focus is overnight work
