Additive at Scale is a Technology Center located in College Station, Texas.
We are new to the Brazos Valley and have state-of-the-art equipment and machinery.
We are currently hiring Additive Engineers in Training.
We are looking for someone to provide advanced Design and Manufacturing Solutions, Technical Drawings, 3D Modeling Capabilities, 3D Printing Services, Project Management, Technical Writing, and Engineering Principles to help our clients develop and commercialize their technology or product.
This position is also responsible for assisting with Post Processing, Assembly, and Disassembly of parts and or products associated with injection molding processes.

Description Required Qualifications: · Undergraduate (Part-Time) or Graduate (Full-Time) majoring in a engineering discipline from a higher education institution.
· Must be proficient in CAD with SolidWorks, Fusion360 and/or other CAD/CAE software.
· Must have a minimum of 2 years of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) experience in various processes and slicing software.
Preferred Requirements: · Knowledge or experience with 3D Printing Polymers and or Metals.
· Knowledge or experience with Injection Molding and Thermoplastics.
· Knowledge or experience Designing Mechanical Assemblies, Molds (Cores and Cavities), Tools, Jigs, and Fixtures for 3D printing and used in Casting and Molding Processes.
· Knowledge or experience Designing for various manufacturing processes (i.
e.
DFM vs DFAM) Physical Requirements: · Ability and to work outdoors or in a shop exposed to various weather conditions, potential allergens, elevated noise levels, and heat.
· Ability to move up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
· Ability to work with power tools and basic hand tools.
· Ability to travel to conferences located out of state.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Proficient in technical writing skills and use of Microsoft Office.
· Self-starter, energizing, results-oriented, and able to work with little to no guidance or supervision.
· Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.
· Excellent teamwork, coordination, communication, and organization skills.

Essential Duties and Tasks: · Assist with quality manual by drafting, checking, and approving standard operating procedures, training programs, education curriculum, and more.
· Assist with data collection and analysis for continuous improvement of methods and standards for Additive at Scale.
· Assist in writing case studies, test reports, and product specification packets for processes or products created while directly or indirectly using additive manufacturing.
· Apply Engineering Principles to design skills as required to correct/resolve difficult and complex problems.
· Assisting in the set-up of new manufacturing jobs for sampling of prototype tools or production tools.
· Removes defective parts from machine and works closely with Quality Assurance Manager, Production Manager, or Lead Engineer to document failures or misprints.
· Responsible for machine setup, material loading, bed leveling, nozzle purging, and executing manufacturing processes.
· Responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of machines by multiple OEMs including BambuLabs, Prusa, Creality, FlashForged, Essentium, AnyCubic, and more.
· Prepare mechanical/manufacturing drawings, DFAM/DFM analysis, schematics, renderings, and assembly models complete with dimensions and tolerances.
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by creating, learning, and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Reports unsafe or dangerous conditions to Supervisor or to Production Manager · Ensure safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, cleaning workstations, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.
· Pursue AM and Six Sigma certification(s) through provided resources by taking online classes and studying recommended material.
Salary $18 - $25 per hour
