Job Title: Construction Field Superintendent Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Field Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully coordinating all aspects of construction projects while ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and timelines.
Responsibilities: Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow and successful project execution.
Monitor construction progress and quality, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly to prevent delays and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site, conducting regular safety inspections and implementing corrective measures as needed.
Manage and optimize resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
Provide leadership and direction to construction teams, motivating and guiding them to achieve project goals and objectives.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to provide updates, address concerns, and resolve issues.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, work schedules, and budget updates.
Proactively identify potential risks and challenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among construction personnel.
Reports to the Director of Construction Requirements: Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing construction projects of varying sizes and complexities.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices, with expertise in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate construction teams.
Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to project management.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed.
