Job Summary:
Operates company owned trucks and trailers to transport materials inbound, outbound, and between inventory holding locations.
Delivers materials to customer yards, jobsites, and other staging locations.
Transports materials between jobsites, locations as required.
Prepares materials for transport and loads it into/onto relevant equipment.
Properly secures the materials for movement over the road.
Works under the supervision of the Superintendent Manager and works together with Team Members to build and understand scheduling requirements.
Ensures transportation equipment is properly maintained.
Essential Functions:
Inspect transportation equipment to ensure safe operation and schedules maintenance as required; trucks, trailers, and load securing equipment
Operate a pickup truck/trailer combination
Follow safe loading practices and secure cargo for transport
Prepare and complete necessary paperwork as required to document deliveries
Communicate with General Superintendent, Supervisor, and other team members
Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operations
Maintain daily/weekly logs of activities including relevant paperwork
Ensure compliance with company.

Job Qualifications:
1-3 years in transportation or related role
Working knowledge of moving materials, tools and related terms
Working knowledge of construction materials and equipments
Ability to create/complete material log documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to safely operate a pickup truck/trailer combination; truck, bumper pull, gooseneck
Ability to operate material handling equipment; pallet jack, forklift, telehandler, other items as applicable
Must pass background, motor vehicle history, and drug screening
Must pass Pre-screening physical test
Work Environment:
Outdoor environment
Contant travel
Vehicle operation 5+ hours per day
Education & Experience:
1+ year of Laborer experience or equivalent, required.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
