The Role: As our Bryan Safety Field Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the business forward.
This position is more than just safety; it is about continuing our culture of safe operations while promoting a spirit of cooperation between the company, drivers, customers, and the community at large.
Our ideal hire is seeking to utilize their safety knowledge and relationship building acumen to not only insure safe and compliant operation of equipment, but to aid our sales and dispatch teams with solid field representation when the need arises.
What You'll Do: Participate in safety meeting planning and presentations.
Participate as a member of the Incident Review Team (IRT) determining preventable / non-preventable work-related injuries and vehicular collisions.
Respond on-site to the reports of work-related injuries and vehicular collisions and complete the required written report to the Safety Department.
Participate in monthly maintenance reports audits and hours-of-service audits as a member of the Safety Department - with some travel to other regions required.
Following proper training you will perform coaching that is shared by the Safety Department staff in the web-based camera program.
Perform the on-boarding process of making the commercial motor vehicle ready to be placed in operation with all required credentials and equipment.
This includes an orientation presented to the operator of the vehicle describing the various tasks to be performed, the initial documented inspection of the vehicle, and obtaining all required signatures and complete camera installation.
Visit job site locations and interact with drivers and customer personnel to assist local Sales and Dispatch teams when required.
Monitor and coordinate delivery updates with truck owners/operators as needed.
Assist truck owner/operators in maintaining equipment to facilitate their availability.
Qualifications: High School degree, with at least 2+ years of relevant safety experience in trucking, transport, logistics or aggregates.
Must possess a valid Class A Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
This position will require the employee to be a qualified driver for Statewide Materials Transport Leasing Ltd.
Strong ability to communicate with all types of people in all types of situations.
Exceptional safety compliance, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
Must have functional computer skills that allow the employee to communicate, navigate web-based programs, participate in virtual meetings, and create reports on a computer.
Being fully bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus but not required.
Basic diesel truck, trailer or equipment maintenance knowledge is a plus but not required.
We Offer: A competitive salary range of $55,000 to $75,000 depending on qualifications & experience.
