JOB DESCRIPTION
TIG WELDER
Lookin for a TIG Welder who is energetic, hard working, and detail oriented.
Perform such work consistent with the company mission and values and produces a product that meets recognized standards and customer expectations
TIG WELDER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and review blueprints, drawings, welding symbols, and other specifications to layout the framework of a structure.
Follow work orders and blueprints to cut, fabricate, and assemble products, per customer guidelines.
TIG Welder must complete production paperwork, follows shop & inspection procedures daily.
Measure work-piece dimensions throughout the fabrication process to assure quality, as well as inspects finished product and compares to requirements to ensure fabrication was completed properly.
Carry out post-welding treatment of structures by cleaning, buffing, and polishing finished workpieces.
Inspect and evaluate welds to ensure they are free of defect and conform to set specifications.
Troubleshoot structures to identify and initiate repair of welding defects.
TIG Welder must operate in the shop and field (as needed), with little to no supervision.
Maneuvering various fabrication machines, i.
e.
, grinders, press brake, drill press, shear, etc.
Ability to fabricate with all shapes and sizes of materials.
Able to work with #4 stainless-steel polish and re-polish as needed.
TIG WELDER REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume, and to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
TIG Welder must have precision sheet metal TIG & MIG welding experience, as well as general fabrication.
Must have good eyesight, a steady hand and good heat control.
Must be able to read a tape measurer.
Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance with the ability to work overtime and weekends.
Can work independently and/or as a cooperative team player.
Willingly takes direction from supervisory personnel.
TIG Welder must adhere to quality procedures and demonstrates strong safety awareness and prevention.
Employees must provide their own hand tools and rollaway box.
Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to American Welding Society experience.
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills to solve technical problems
Must be able to effectively make necessary corrections per pertinent codes and specifications, with no supervision.
Produce finished product that meets recognized standards, codes, and customer expectations by maintaining quality procedures and practices.
TIG Welder must perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning, trash scrap removal, and other production related tasks.
