*Job Position Summary*: Organize, plan, and execute commercial and residential glazing projects.
Work with other partners in all aspects of estimating, contracting, submittals, fabrication, installation, and project closeout.
Candidate will be a partner in the company.
*Role and responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
* - ESTIMATING: Qualify upcoming projects to bid.
Assign estimates as needed.
Review high profile and high-cost estimates prior to bidding.
Ensure bid schedule is maintained.
- PROJECT MANAGING: Review material orders for accuracy and ensure material arrives as ordered and tagged for appropriate projects.
Oversee the entire life of a project from estimating to closeout to reduce delays and mistakes and increase productivity and margin.
- FABRICATION: Conduct field measurements on projects - Lead fabrication kick-off meetings ensuring fab deadlines are communicated.
Work to keep an accurate inventory of needed stock and facilitate stock orders when necessary.
- INSTALLATION: Lead installation meetings between General Contractors/Owners.
Make frequent site visits and facilitate field changes.
- DRAFTING: Ensure timely and accurate production of shop and submittal drawings.
- DAY TO DAY: Work closely with management and all employees to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Help implement needed changes and model excellent work ethics to rest of team.
Make service call visits to assess the needs of clients and assist with crew scheduling.
- RELATIONSHIPS: Ensure customer satisfaction and foster relationships with clients by communicating on a regular basis.
Effective customer service not only helps to build trust and loyalty but also creates a positive impact on the success of each project.
*Qualifications*: The minimum qualifications of a candidate should include 10+ years of experience in the glass and glazing industry and have a proven track record in Construction/Glass and Glazing as a Project Engineer, Field Superintendent, or Project Manager.
Must have a valid Driver’s License with the ability to be covered on the company insurance.
