Principal Accountabilities
Principal Accountabilities
Maintain repairs and replaces broke plumbing lines, such as, copper, black, cast iron, galvanized, PVC, etc.
Install new plumbing equipment, fixtures, trim, etc.
Changes faucet parts, shower heads, valves, toilet seats, irrigation sprinkler heads, water heaters, and other fixtures and parts associated with correctly operating plumbing systems
Maintains records on all preventive maintenance and services performed including machine hours, parts, ordered, etc.
Develops and implements a preventive maintenance program on plumbing systems within areas of responsibility.
Maintains a properly stocked storeroom of plumbing supplies and requisition supplies as needed.
Keeps current log on cut-off valves and various types of water heaters .
Assists contractor with repair and warranty work
Ability to be on-call for emergency plumbing issues
Knowledge of safety procedures related to plumbing and must adhere to all safety standards and work practices set by the Physical Plant
Knowledge and ability to perform preventive maintenance services on plumbing machinery
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
