The Welder will contribute to the production of high-quality equipment, primarily for offshore use.
The Welder plays a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the integrity and strength of our products through skilled welding techniques.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
- Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to fabricate and assemble components for Launch and Recovery Systems and related equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to execute precise welds.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address and rectify any welding defects or issues.
- Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components to ensure proper alignment.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations to create a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safe work practices.
- Work closely with fellow welders, fabricators, and other team members to achieve production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
*Minimum Qualifications*
Education level: High School or equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Specific skills: Strong attention to detail and precision in welding operations.
Specific skills: Knowledge of different types of metals and alloys used in manufacturing.
Specific skills: Basic math skills and the ability to perform accurate measurements.
*Preferred Qualifications*
Education level: Welding certification from a recognized institution.
Experience: 1+ years experience as a welder in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing facility.
