*_ *Job Summary:* The Safety Support Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by providing on-site support to employees and supervisors.
This position involves actively engaging with daily operations, conducting inspections, assisting in incident investigations, implementing hazard communication programs, and utilizing safety platforms for effective reporting and resolution.
*Job Type* Full-time · Reports Directly to the Safety Manager *Responsibilities/Duties:* *Onsite Presence and Assistance:* * Establish a visible presence in the plant through daily walks, and interactions with employees and supervisors.
* Provide immediate assistance and guidance on safety-related matters to enhance overall safety awareness with the guidance of the Safety Manager.
* Collaborate with the Safety Manager to create a visible presence in the plant, promoting accessibility for safety-related inquiries.
* Offer on-the-ground assistance to employees and supervisors, facilitating quick resolution of safety concerns.
*Safety Inspections:* * Perform regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
*Accident and Incident Investigation:* * Assist in the Accident and Incident Investigation process to determine root causes.
* Work towards resolutions and develop preventive measures to minimize the recurrence of incidents.
*Hazard Communication Program:* * Implement and effectively control the Hazard Communication (HazCom) program.
* Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and communication of hazardous materials information.
*Administrative Support:* * Assist in the day-to-day administrative functions of the Safety Department.
* Maintain organized records, documents, and databases related to safety protocols and incidents.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related documentation.
*Utilization of Safety Platform:* * Review daily reports on the safety platform "Safesite" to stay informed about safety issues.
* Support the resolution of reported incidents and extend the use of the tool to the next level of employees, such as team leaders.
*Training Support:* * Assist in coordinating safety training sessions and programs.
* Maintain training records and help ensure employees are informed about safety procedures.
*Our East Texas Precast next team-member will ideally possess the following skills, experiences, and work qualifications:* * No experience is required.
* A High school diploma or Associate degree preferable * Ability to keep information confidential.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
