Machine Operator- Roll Form Operator

*POSITION SUMMARY* Operator of multi-station roll form fabrication equipment with inline punch presses.
Works from production work orders and production management to maintain roll formed product inventory levels.
Assumes responsibility for the Quality and Quantity of finished parts.
Monitors equipment as it is working on the parts to ensure proper function.
Monitors tooling performance and changes tooling when dull, damaged, or as needed.
Maintains a log and notifies Supervisor and/or designated personnel of equipment malfunctions and downtime.
Operates forklift and hoist for loading raw material and staging finished product.
Maintains equipment as set forth in the standard operating procedures.
Performs and records operator preventive maintenance such as, but not limited to, cleaning, adding/changing fluids, replacing cutters, bits, etc.
Greases and oils machine as required.
Functions as a team member.
Cross-trains in all production lines to understand the quality needs of our product.
Works with maintenance on other equipment as needed.
Backs-up other team members as needed.
Follows all safety policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
Follow all company policies and procedures as required.
Assists in other duties or special projects as directed by supervisor or officer of the company.
*REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES* · 2+ years previous production or machine operator experience · Ability to read tape measure and solve basic mathematical equations with fractions and decimals accurately.
· History of exceptional or above average attendance rates.
· Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision and meet required deadlines.
· Must be able to work in a team environment and rotate positions.
· Ability to work in an uncontrolled environment & walk continuously.
Ability to stand for 8 hours/day and move in a wide range of motion.
· Ability to lift 25 – 50 pounds consistently.
· Ability to follow specific written and verbal English instructions.
· Ability to work safely and in consideration of all safety guidelines and regulations.
· Must be quality conscious.
*PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES* · Previous experience working from production work orders and production management to maintain roll formed product inventory levels.
· Previous roll form machine operating or maintenance experience.
· Familiarity with fabrication and machining equipment · Forklift experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.
