JOB SUMMARY The position of Laborer performs a variety of labor tasks related to general construction projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Perform a variety of labor tasks related to erosion control, loading and unloading materials, traffic control, project cleanliness, material assembly and installation.
• Safely operate a variety of hand tools including cutting tools, knives, hammers, shovels, rakes, saws and brooms.
• Safely use ladders & fall protection and restraint systems • Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies.
• Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and the work area.
• Other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.
• Know Company safety policies and adhere to them while working at all times.
• Always properly use the appropriate PPE for intended use and application.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Effective listening skills and ability to follow directions • Ability to effectively manage time and project deadlines.
• The ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously and in an accurate and timely manner.
• Behavior that supports positive work environment keeping in line with company mission and values.
QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid driver’s license • Previous construction experience preferred but not required • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS • The physical demands described are a representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, converse, and listen; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and to reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to reach and grip constantly • Ability to stoop and kneel frequently • Ability to climb, balance, crouch, and crawl occasionally • The employee must be able to lift and/or carry 0-25 pounds consistently, 24-75 pounds frequently, 75+ pounds occasionally • The employee must be able to stand and/or walk at least eight hours per day.
Constant time spent working on feet.
• Occasional work above or below ground • The Employee must be able to work and adapt to outside temperature fluctuations such as the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter months.
