GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Aerosol Maintenance Technician
Responsible for preventative maintenance, rebuilding cylinders, valves, and drives, replacing aerosol line components, trouble shooting aerosol production problems, and working with supervisor on larger scale projects such as removal, assembly, and installation of new equipment.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
Rebuild 3 stage cylinders (crimpers), standard pneumatic cylinders, air over hydraulic cylinders (300cc fill pumps and 510cc boosters), mechanical charging valves (impact heads), Poppet valves, drives (will train).
Replacement and adjustment of chains, sprockets (cogs), valving, hydraulic seals, pump and assists with inventory maintenance of replacement parts and equipment.
Trouble shoot aerosol production problems (will train).
Work with supervisor on large scale projects including but not limited to removal, assembly, and installation of new equipment.
Updates maintenance and repair logs
Notify supervisor of parts used and parts that need to be reordered to support aerosol production lines.
Visually inspect parts and materials for visual defects and accept receipt if approved.
Cleans work area and return tools to proper location - inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
Conducts safety checks on machines, maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance OSHA standards.
Completes required paperwork, parts usage, and documentation.
Performs other maintenance related work as required.
Any other duties or projects assigned by the Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years prior work experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical (IE, Auto, trades) or schooling equivalent.
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic with the ability to read blueprints, technical instructions, and schematics.
Manual dexterity for operation and repair of machinery – ability to lift 50 pounds.
Forklift certified.
Ability to work on a flexible schedule if needed to assist with equipment repair - some weekends required.
