3rd Shift Production Supervisor

QuestSpecialty Corporation, a specialty chemical manufacturing company, is hiring a 3rd shift Production Supervisor (Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am) for our facility in Brenham, Texas.
Qualified applicants will have at least 3 years’ experience successfully managing a production line of 20+ employees, excellent written and oral communication skills, experience with work orders and working with quality control, regulatory, inventory, safety, and scheduling departments to ensure production deadlines met.

*GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION*: Production Supervisor: 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 10pm to 6am) Supervise production personnel in a safe and efficient way to perform their job duties.
Report any problem and corrective action immediately to Supervisor, Plant Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control.
*SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES*: 1) Review production schedule for each assigned production line and ensure the following: a) Components are pulled and readily available.
b) Product has been mixed and released for production.
c) Line is properly staffed.
d) Plant Manager is notified of any schedule changes.
2) Ensure all Quality Control procedures are followed according to the Quality Control Manual.

3) Review all production line setups to ensure proper settings for each batch/production run.
4) Assist when necessary with production steps to maximize productivity.
5) Assist when necessary with preparation of mixing to be sure batches are available for filling.
6) Monitor and adjust production equipment to ensure maximum productivity.
7) Screen prospective production employees under guidance of Supervisor.
8) Review production employees as directed by Supervisor.
9) Responsible for third shift production.
10) Ensure production personnel are using correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.
P.
E.
) as described on Packaging Ticket.
11) Maintain a clean workplace at all times.
12) Ensure the employee responsible for processing work orders does so as soon as run is completed.
13) Assist with testing of new equipment and products as required by Plant Manager or Manager of Production, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control.
14) Any problems with production, personnel, or quality control will be reported in the following manner: Quality Control: Q.
