Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project requirements
- Perform welding and fitting tasks using various techniques and equipment
- Fabricate, build, and rig structural components according to specifications
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal components
- Inspect welds for quality and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Follow safety guidelines and adhere to codes and standards for welding processes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role
- Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of press brake machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
- Familiarity with pipe threading, soldering, and ductwork fabrication
- Knowledge of codes and standards related to welding processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and work in various positions
