*POSITION TITLE:* Area Supervisor
*LOCATION: *Brenham, Texas
*SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION: *
This is an entry level position for area supervisors in our Production and Hygienic Departments at Blue Bell Creameries.
This position is hands-on working with equipment and managing personnel on the plant floor.
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Supervise team members assigned to the manufacturing line
* Work with plant management, facilities maintenance, and other plant personnel to properly set-up, run, and troubleshoot mechanical operations.
* Prepare documentation and conduct efficiency checks in the manufacturing operation
* Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed (adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice)
* Ensure occupational safety of team members (adherence to company safety policies)
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:*
* Bachelor’s degree (particularly in a relevant field such as agricultural, scientific, etc.
)
* Relative working experience with manufacturing or similar industry
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
