General Summary
This role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer systems.
This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing PC hardware, software, and communication links.
The person will also analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
In compliance with established policies and procedures, assures the integrity and operations of the Banks information systems, at all locations.
The person will also be working with the banks managed service provider as a second set of eyes and hands to troubleshoot problems onsite.
Essential Functions Troubleshoots computer equipment, ensuring it runs correctly, and recovers any lost or accidental deleted data.
Utilizes internal ticketing system and documents support issues with vendors related to technology.
Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Coordination with 3rd party network support, as needed.
Supports and troubleshoots all local and wide area networking (with 3rd party network support), software and video devices related to branch offices.
Interacts with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to maintain network products and services.
Assists with training new and existing users on application software and equipment.
Network Security administration Active Directory accounts management.
File System Security management.
Group and Distribution List management.
Safeguards computer system information and operations, assuring that the appropriate security controls are in place.
Servers/Workstations/Printers Installation of new systems.
Be able to stage and configure new systems using bank standards.
Maintenance and upgrading of existing systems.
Technical support for end-users.
Serves as backup to Information Technology Manager.
Maintains hardware lists for the different bank groups.
Monitor and maintain Intranet, and assist editors, when required.
Assists with ensuring compliance is maintained for all Bank policies relating to technology.
Performs other duties as required or assigned to maintain the Banks work and service standards.
Minimum Level of Education Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical training in information systems and computer hardware and software field (i.
e.
A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, Security+ Certification, CCNA, ITIL, O365 Fundamentals).
Three or more years of hands-on experience with LAN & WAN administration or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities Required Ability to perform, maintain, and complete tasks/work in a timely manner with some/little supervision.
Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, SQL.
Extensive knowledge of communication systems.
Extensive knowledge of PC hardware.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 10 Operating Systems, various software applications that include Windows Office365 applications and the ability to integrate applications with each other and communication systems.
Intranet/Internet application knowledge.
Understanding of network security, virus, and malware protection.
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with personnel of other departments and branches.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment with consistent deadlines.
Ability to make quick decisions.
Working Conditions Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
Requires corrected hearing in normal range of effective communication via telephone and alarms.
Willing to use personal phone before, during, and after hours, as needed.
Must be able to speak English.
May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time.
May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work overtime, including on weekends and/or holidays, as needed.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Considerable effort and eye strain from continued checking on the accuracy of all work.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other branches.
