This knife is in its ordinal condition from use in the Navy.
It has only been cleaned with soap and water.
The Navy MK1 knife was used as both a utility knife and a fighting weapon.
The Mark I knives were Navy issue throughout WW2.

Navy have a blade length of 5.
24-inches and 9 ¾ total.
The blades may be blued, polished bright, chromed or parkerized.
This one is RH-35 PAL.
Made in USA.
Around 1940 PAL purchased the cutlery division of the Remington Arms Company, including their existing stock of completed knives and knife parts.
Pal went out of business in 1953.
The USN Mark 1 combat knife was produced by a variety of manufactures during World War II and was issued to Navy personnel.
It has a 5 ¼ long blade and was patterned after typical hunting and side knives of the era.
The sheath is not original to the knife, which is reflected in the price.
It’s in good shape for its age, and considering where it was used.
