What we want The Executive Assistant III , provides administrative support to the Dean of the School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts , including special events, projects, initiatives, and programs.
Provides leadership in planning, directing, and evaluating college operations.
Functions as a high-level liaison to customers, represents the University on committees, and maintains interactions with high-ranking officials within and outside of the University.
Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six years of office administration experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, & presentation software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail, initiative and sound judgment.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel occasionally Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher-level education administration support.
Job Responsibilities: Support of the Dean: Drafts, reviews, and accesses documents and correspondence for approval and/or review for the Dean.
Evaluates documents submitted for Dean's signature.
Coordinates and monitors action items for the Dean.
Gathers information and drafts responses, when necessary, internally to the school’s administrative leaders, faculty, staff, and students and externally to other deans, and the university’s upper administration.
Manages information requests and requests for proposals from upper administration and other University units to the School and from the School to other internal and external units.
Assists the Dean in coordination of University committees.
Oversees coordination of preparation and submission of agenda items to the Board of Regents.
Provides necessary research and review to allow for informed decisions.
Gathers information and prepares presentations, proofreads documents and recommends changes or actions to be taken.
Exercises oversight over document handling and preparation.
Assists the Dean in coordination of School committees over which the Dean presides.
Follows up on all action items from committees over which the Dean presides.
Manages meetings requests from inside or outside the office.
Liaisons to internal and external partners, including industry, agencies, and donors for special projects.
Manages calendar and schedules all meetings and appointments for the Dean.
Oversees process of travel arrangements and itineraries, and travel reimbursements for the Dean and Dean’s Office visitors.
Assists in the resolution of complex, highly sensitive, and confidential administrative matters.
Administrative: Serves as liaison to areas of the Dean’s office including: Faculty Affairs, Academic Affairs, Research and Creative Works, IT, Marketing and Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Community and Industry Engagement, Facilities, and Development.
Maintains current knowledge of activities and projects in the Dean’s Office.
Evaluates and researches a variety of issues and makes assessments to advise and assist the Dean.
Identifies and recommends improvements for administrative procedures and makes evaluative judgments in implementing changes.
Coordinates and leads administrative support for School events, meetings, specialized activities, projects, long-term initiatives, and new programs that originate from the Dean’s office.
Compiles reports and maintains records and other documents pertaining to the Dean’s responsibilities.
Oversees the preparation of reports, manuals, and publications originating from the Dean’s office.
Makes arrangements for and assists in hosting distinguished visitors to the School.
Serves as a liaison and point of contact for the Dean and Assistant/Associate Deans.
Supervisory: Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, evaluates performance, and develops professional development plans for assigned staff.
