Creations, the largest Aggie merchandise facility in the world, is hiring a RETAIL PURCHASING MANAGER to join an ambitious and growing team.
A Retail Purchasing Manager leads the buyer team and retail purchasing agendas, and maintains pricing models and sales margins, stock goods management, inventory management, sales data analysis and external vendor relations.
The Retail Purchasing Manager should be a self-starter, thrive in a team atmosphere, be highly motivated and have strong organizational and communication skills.
What will you do as a Retail Purchasing Manager?
Lead the buyer team and purchasing agendas and projects for 28,750 sqft of retail space
Analyzing retail pricing models and sales margins and provide recommendations on changes to increase profitability
Oversight of all buying, sourcing, returns and defect processes
Oversight of product categories and buying processes in Counterpoint; assign category clean up and monitor min-max
Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, review product quality and assess vendor pricing and performance
Analyze inventory and sales data to calculate re-ordering needs and ensure buyers are meeting fulfillment timelines
Manage stocked goods inventory and re-ordering needs
Develop and monitor strategic plan for sell through, clearance and reordering
Oversight of open purchase orders and invoicing process
Oversight of partials and priority management when goods arrive
Work with vendors to acquire product samples to assess buying capabilities and product availability
Identify and resolve any vendor discrepancies during shipping, receiving or invoicing
Participate in Product Development meetings to review and evaluate all product lines
Analyze sales history and give input on graphic and product development
Includes travel 2-3 times annually to market and tradeshows to source and purchase new product
Assist in executing events hosted by the Warehouse as needed
Additional Requirements:
A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business’ mission.
Ability to learn new computer-based programs and software such as Counterpoint and Impress.
Strong background in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
Excellent organization skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Excellent independent and team collaboration skills.
Excellent relationship and networking skills with the ability to manage and direct projects.
Ability to exercise discretion when needed.

This full-time position has normal scheduled hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Extended hours beyond the normal scheduled may be required including some weekends as necessary.
