BCS Spay holds adoption events Saturday afternoons 2:30-5pm at the College Station Petsmart on University Drive (back by the cat litter).
Plus, it's PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week!
All our cats and kittens needing homes are spayed/neutered and microchipped for identification.
They are up-to-date on vaccinations for rabies and FVRCP.
Most are good with other cats but have not been around dogs or children (unless noted).
Adoption fees range from $50 for adult cats over a year old to $100 for kittens under six months old.
We include some extra goodies such as soft-sided carriers, bowls, nail clippers, and a few toys with adoptions (while supplies last).
Reply to this post for our adoption application or apply at the adoption event.
Planning to attend Saturday, March 23 are:
- Anastasia, brown tabby female kitten around 4 months old,
- Jasmine, brown torbie female kitten around 5 months old (best as an only cat due to initially testing positive for Feline Leukemia Virus = FeLV although tests negative now so possible a false positive or might have a focal or regressive infection),
- Belle, brown torbie female kitten (best as an only cat for same reason as Jasmine),
- Rajah, solid black male kitten around 5 months old,
- Prince Charming, black/white tuxedo male kitten around 6 months old (OK with some dogs, best in a home without young kids)
- Odin, one-eyed orange/white male cat around 3 years old (best in a home without young kids).
Others available for individual meetings with an approved application (some might attend future adoption events):
- Icelyn, Siamese mix female kitten around 5 months old (must be an only cat due to testing positive multiple times for FeLV so likely has a progressive infection),
- Prince & Princess, fluffy brown tabby with white male kitten and brown tabby female kitten around 10 months old (need to be adopted together),
- Billie, brown tabby/white male cat around 1 year old,
- Peanut, young orange female cat around 3 years old (hard to get in a carrier),
- Charlie Chaplin, a large black/white tuxedo male cat around 9 years old,
- Murphy, grey/white female cat 9 years old,
- Winona, spunky small black/white tuxedo female cat 9 years old,
- Newman, orange/white male cat around 9 years old (special needs takes meds to help him pee/poop, OK with dogs).
A few more kittens should be ready for adoption soon.
Or let us know if you are interested in fostering cats or kittens while they wait for forever homes.
We provide supplies and pay for essential vet care.
Fostering to adopt can be an option for kitties that are not ready to be adopted yet (due to needing to get fixed, treated for a medical issue, or better socialized).
We can provide information on low-cost spay/neuter options in our area for pets or outdoor community/feral cats.
