Overview
The lead pharmacy technician is an active participant in the identification and resolution of improvement opportunities, as well as in the development of new process program services for the department.
This position is responsible for ensuring all automated dispensing machines are being utilized appropriately.
Provides support of operational, clinical and financial activities of the department related in information system, pharmacy dispensing automation, and workflow of the department.
Assists pharmacist in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory, collection of data and maintenance of records to ensure that our patients receive medications in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities
Oversee the automation processes: restocking the Automated Dispensing Machines, ensuring proper inventory levels, maintaining user profiles, validating the Automated Dispensing Machines formulary and generating reports to ensure medication availability.
Medication Procurement and Distribution: Procure and distribute medications accurately, prepare intravenous admixtures, and lead efficient pharmacy workflows for safe patient care.
Pharmacy Operations: Organize technician schedules, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate documentation, contributing to effective pharmacy operations.
Communication and Documentation: Handle calls, make timely deliveries, and demonstrate effective oral and written communication while maintaining accurate records.
Professional Development and Compliance: Attend meetings, participate in training programs, and ensure compliance by conducting competence assessments and completing assigned duties.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience Education:
High School Diploma or GED Experience.
Two (2) years experience as a pharmacy tech.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT).
Pay Range
$19.
68 - $27.
