The Director of Corporate Operations enables the success of the Corporate Relations Team, overseeing the day-to-day operations to enhance the overall effectiveness of unit.
The Director of Corporate Operations is responsible for orchestrating and supporting daily Unit operations, establishing business processes, and assisting the Unit leader with mission management alignment.
This development operations professional serves as a liaison connecting integral internal functions, overseeing unit specific development platforms, facilitating donor engagement and stewardship, and managing marketing and communication efforts for the Unit.
This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relations.
Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities Assist Corporate Relations leader in creating operational rhythms and processes which anticipate the needs of the Unit and enable development efforts to operate effectively and efficiently.
Execute reporting and administrative processes for the Corporate Relations Team as requested by Corporate Relations leadership.
Serve as the primary project manager for Corporate Relations Team development platforms.
Prepare executive presentations to a variety of audiences/constituents and Corporate Relations and Division leadership is adequately prepared for internal and external meetings.
Assist with pre and post-op briefings for high profile meetings and strategic engagements to maximize both 1) the relevant information provided prior to and, 2) the new relevant information learned from the meeting.
Facilitate Corporate Relations team, including unit corporate liaisons, to proactively identify issues that impede fundraising or operational success and provide solutions and recommendations utilizing the Aggie Decision Making Process.
Initiate and engage prospect management efforts working in tandem with AVP of Corporate Relations in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding the top corporate donors within the portfolio and serving as a point of contact for information requests, corporate business reviews and coordinating corporate campus visits.
Manage daily operations, helping the team to focus their time, effort, and attention on areas with the most impact.
Work with the Corporate Relations team and our Research team in the implementation of strategic communication and other strategic touch points to targeted groups of our next generation of corporate prospects.
Prepare timely interaction notes and other appropriate progress reports and maintain accurate records of donor activity in the CRM donor database.
Create trusted relationships with donors and utilize active listening skills to match the philanthropic interests of the donor with the mission and goals of the university.
Adhere to the CASE Statement of Ethics, Donor Bill of Rights and fundraising best practices ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, Texas A&M Foundation policies and donor intent.

Development Unit Specific Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong working relationships with assigned academic or development unit(s), and across the university with primary focus on building and maintaining open and transparent communication between the development office and the faculty/administration.
Manage internal and external grant processes and corporate impact reporting for the Corporate Relations team coordinating with the development coordinators within the respective colleges on corporate reporting for stewardship purposes.
Collaborate with Unit Development Offers to identify, inspire, and recruit faculty champions with big transformational ideas to engage and partner in the philanthropic strategic planning process to drive funding opportunities and achieve excellence.
Participate in team based fundraising efforts that advance the mission and strategic vision of Texas A&M University and development unit.
Collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to determine funding priorities and potential funding sources for various academic programs, university programs, scholarships and building needs.
Serve as content expert and primary contact in the development office for the assigned development unit; address inquiries regarding fundraising policies and procedures.
Attend regular development unit and corporate team meetings and report out as assigned.
Promote a positive image of Texas A&M University and the A&M Foundation among its constituents and serve as an advocate for the college/unit and its mission.
Translate contextual and academic ideas, objectives and information into relatable messages that resonate with the donor.
Adhere to the Foundation’s Coordination Policy for fundraising activities.
Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 5+ years of professional experience with demonstrated history of success in relationship-driven industry Highly proficient in using computer business applications including Microsoft suite of products and complex database systems Demonstrated professional work experience in positions requiring problem-solving, business judgement, and analytical skills Ability to develop rapport quickly, communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities and possess the aptitude to relate well to the academic community Ability to maintain confidentiality across a variety of situations and involving a variety of constituents (including Foundation leadership, team members, prospects, donors, and University leadership Ability to balance varying responsibilities that span rhythm of business, communications, executive management, and culture.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including excellent listening, relationship-building, and customer service including the ability to ability to initiate meaningful and trusted relationships with diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills including ability to build trust, influence, and foster relationships with diverse team members; ability to leverage relationships to drive consistency of approach and ensure delivery.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and to work calmly under pressure of goals and deadlines Strong commitment to the mission and vision of Texas A&M Foundations with the ability and desire to serve as a compelling ambassador for the organization and Texas A&M University Additional Desired Qualifications Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines/units and built cross-functional, interdisciplinary partnerships Experience using donor-relationship or other fundraising database platforms Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple high-profile projects of varying timelines simultaneously.
