edu What we want The Assistant Program Director works with the following Mays Business School graduate programs: Master of Financial Management (MFM) MS Finance (MSF) MS Quantitative Finance (MQF) This is a rewarding opportunity as you work to develop and implement career readiness programs that will prepare students for professional employment and long-term career growth.
You will develop relationships with employers, internal and external clients, customers, stakeholders, and other interest groups as you enhance national recognition of our programs in both areas of recruitment and partnerships in order to enhance opportunities for the students we serve.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, engineering, other STEM field or related field.
Si x years' relevant industry experience such as finance, consulting, engineering management, or program management to include three years of progressively increased responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of technical, finance, consulting, and/or business management roles and careers.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite coupled with k nowledge of presentation and training skills.
Preferred Qualifications: MBA or relevant advanced degree Prior experience in graduate career coaching and development Knowledge of finance-based career development, planning, and management.
Previous experience in project management, corporate training and/or consulting/advisory roles Knowledge of career and industry trends as well as e xperience working with business professionals.
Experience in industry recruiting, sourcing, hiring, succession planning, career development, or learning and development.
Essential Duties/Tasks: Career Coaching/Advising - Individually and in affinity groups, work with MFM, MSF & MQF students to support their growth along a career development path.
Advise and guide in areas including self-awareness, career awareness, interest, fit and skills.
Review, assess and provide constructive feedback on progress and actions in each career development area.
Work with students to guide, critique and revise multiple forms of written & verbal communication.
Coach/advise students in resume/cover letter/LinkedIn profile development, interview preparation, salary evaluation , networking skills, job search strategies , professional presence, elevator pitch, personal brand development and other related graduate career development areas.
Event Planning & Facilitation - Facilitate relationships with internal and external clients, customers, and other interest groups.
Develops and cultivates partnerships with businesses in order to enhance national recognition of the programs in both areas of recruitment and partnerships.
Develops and maintains appropriate professional relationships that enhance services to the graduate business programs by managing relationships with individual program administration, faculty, and business advisory boards.
Develops, implements, and maintains an outreach plan to increase engagement of former students with current students to help prepare and connect them to employment opportunities.
Carries out event planning and logistics for Advisory Board meetings, program special events and for career treks.
Education/Training - Delivers state of the art career education and readiness programs in person and virtually.
Develops programs, events, webinars, etc.
based on specific needs, wants, or requests.
Sets new standards in career education and preparation.
Provides students with lifelong career management skills.
Career Program Operations - Oversee career program operation activities to include compiling and distributing resume books, administering relevant employment websites, preparing employer materials and other operational and administrative tasks as assigned.
