General Summary
Primary responsibility consists of monitoring an assigned portfolio of various types of loans, and assist with maintaining credit risk standards in accordance with Bank policy and regulations.
Essential Functions
Facilitate comprehensive credit analysis and support Senior Lenders in underwriting and processing new and existing credit relationships.
Participate in customer calls and site visits with Lenders, as needed.
Ability to meet with customers to determine appropriate bank products to meet their needs.
Gather appropriate documentation from customers, as needed for request or to maintain existing files.
Assist with the preparation of loan presentations, recommend loan structures in accordance with the loan type, identify risks along with mitigating factors to offset those risks, and prepare required documentation to process the request.
Review and assist with obtaining final approval via the appropriate approval authority.
Ensure covenant compliance and accurate financial reporting for existing portfolio.
Conduct periodic reviews of existing loans for credit quality assessment and make recommendations for grade changes, as necessary.
Assist in managing past due and maturing loans.
Coordinate loan closings, prepare / review loan documentation to confirm alignment with approved terms, and assist with the funding / booking process.
Collaborate with outside banks for participation credits.
Coordinates and communicates with Branch Manager to assist with rotations of opening, closing, lunch periods, etc.
; particularly at small branch locations.
Adhere to all Bank policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Banking operations, policies and procedures.
Supports Classic Bank’s goals and values.
Must be able to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Ability and willingness to gain proficiency with the Core System, Imaging System, and various Loan Systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Demonstrates a strong attention to detail.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with financial analysis programs and cash flow models.
Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including but not limited to computers, calculators, and printers.
Ability to deal with difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and respond to requests for service and assistance.
Ability to make quick decisions.

Education, Certification, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred, High School Diploma/GED required.
3 + years of lending and / or credit risk experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Financial analysis and credit underwriting experience preferred.
Working Conditions
