*Full Job Description* * Bryan-College Station (with office in Cameron) law firm is seeking a paralegal/administrative assistant with two (2) plus years litigation work experience for our team.
This full-time position is responsible for ensuring that the needs of our clients, lawyers, and staff are met.
Tasks involve working with attorneys to manage litigation docket including support in drafting, filing, and service of correspondence, pleadings, and discovery; responding to discovery including production of documents; document management; acquisition and abstraction of medical records, medical billing records, financial records, and electronic communications; investigation and development of factual and legal strategies; client communication; preparation of demonstrative exhibits for court presentation; preparation for court hearings; and trial preparation.
The candidate will work collaboratively and report directly to firm leadership.
Additional responsibilities may include preparation of transactional documents in the real estate, probate, and business arenas and administrative functions of the firm.
Must have very good organizational communication and writing skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy with work products are critical.
MS Word, Power Point, and Excel proficiency is required.
Primary work will be in Bryan-College Station with some work in Cameron.
There is a potential for some remote work.
Ability to handle pressure and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities in an efficient manner, rapid turnaround as required, and generally perform in a fast-paced environment.
Salary commensurate with ability and experience.
*Responsibilities-Litigation* · Drafting, filing and service of correspondence, pleadings, and discovery to be filed and/or served in cases pending in Texas, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, and other jurisdictions throughout the United States.
· Preparation of discovery responses including production of documents.
· Acquisition and abstraction of medical records, medical billing records, financial records, and electronic communications.
· Investigation and development of factual and legal strategies.
· Preparation of hearing, witness, case, and trial notebooks.
· Document management within parameters of database.
· Client communication over telephone and via email.
· Calendaring case deadlines.
· Assist attorneys in preparing for court hearings and trials.
· Prepare demonstrative exhibits for court and client presentations.
· Open new client cases.
· Processing daily mail both electronic and paper.
*Responsibilities-Transactional* · Drafting of wills, powers of attorney, real estate deeds, business formation documents, and contracts.
*Responsibilities-Administrative* · Assist in accounting functions including invoice generation and application of payments.
· Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person.
· Respond to internet chat and direct inquiries to the appropriate person.
* Ability to handle pressure and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities in an efficient manner, rapid turnaround as required, and generally perform in a fast-paced environment.
*Qualifications* * Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point, Excel, and QuickBooks Online.
* Experience with legal database.
* Experience in managing electronic files.
* Electronic filing and service in federal and state courts.
* Ability to create complex documents using advanced word processing features including styles, section formatting, merge, tables, redlining, cross referencing, and table of contents.
* Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate efficiently and effectively in person, by email, and telephone to provide information with courtesy and follow instructions, both written and oral, effectively from clients, attorneys, and staff.
* Experience with calendar management, scheduling, and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Professional and highly discreet with maintenance of confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.
