*Office Manager opening at Shane Phelps Law, Bryan, Texas*
*Shane Phelps Law*, a highly regarded law firm specializing in criminal defense, is looking for the right person to join our team as our office manager.
The successful candidate for the position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our firm.
Duties will include: · Screening and assignment of prospective clients to appropriate attorney · Supervision of receptionist · Supervision, hiring, and coordination of college intern program · Ensuring accuracy of and submitting payment vouchers submitted for payment for court-appointed cases · Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer of the firm; handling and depositing funds; working with QuickBooks; drafting checks as required; maintaining petty cash; tracking payments from clients · Making travel and hotel arrangements for attorneys and paralegals · Monitoring the firm calendar and assisting paralegals in resolving conflicts in attorney scheduling · Client relations, including obtaining reviews and collecting fees · Maintenance of law library · Coordinate firm contracts with vendors (website, Westlaw, Lexis, etc.
) · Mastering and optimizing the firm’s case management software (we use Clio, Clio Grow, and Kenect) · Liaison with community non-profits and other charitable organization in furtherance of the firm’s charitable work · Coordinating Atticus Finch Day, an annual event sponsored by Shane Phelps Law · Draft current job descriptions and standard operating procedures · In charge of the online review program for the firm (Google, Avvo, Findlaw) · Supervising office services such as maid service, trash collection, cable, and recycling, and general building maintenance · Monitoring and ordering the appropriate office supplies · Liaison with our website marketing company · Registering attorneys and paralegals for Continuing Legal Education seminars · Assist with developing job descriptions for new positions and coordinate the interview and hiring process · Hiring of additional personnel as needed · Developing positive and productive relationships with court coordinators and other courthouse personnel · Professional, courteous, and empathetic communication with clients; · Other duties as directed This position is critical to the day-to-day operations of the firm.
The successful candidate should be motivated, mature, energetic, organized, able to learn quickly, professional, a self-starter, and willing to take direction from attorneys and supervising staff.
A bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience will be considered favorably.
Compensation will reflect experience, but *Shane Phelps Law* believes in fairly and generously compensating team members based on performance.
The pay range is from $40,000 to $55,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
The firm has a robust 401K plan which full-time employees are eligible for after one year of employment.
The firm will also provide a health-care stipend if necessary.
Excellent writing skills are required.
Quarterly travel to Atlanta for training at the Firm’s expense may be required.
Our office is located in Bryan, Texas.
