*Company Values* ·Honesty and integrity in everything we do ·Top value provider of products and services ·Fair pay, safe working conditions, and transparent communication for all employees ·Maximum efficiency in business operations *Position Summary: Packaging/Processing* Under the direction of Processing management, team members in this position will inspect all eggs to ensure they meet quality, sanitary and regulatory requirements.
According to established processes, procedures, and guidelines this position is required to make boxes, label cartons/cases as assigned, and pack/palletize quality eggs.
Flexibility in this role is key due to the fact actual work station assignments may vary according to Processing needs and requirements.
Duties include final in-process inspection and ensuring that the correct product is being packaged into the proper cartons, cases, and onto proper pallets.
Must ensure continuous and proper flow of product in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner to meet maximum processing speed and to provide a quality product.
Must complete sanitation duties following the processing shift.
Must strictly adhere to established Biosecurity standards when entering and exiting complex facilities.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities* · Label boxes per customer specifications and pack/organize graded eggs into boxes per customer orders · Load boxes and/or cartons into equipment · Manually load egg flats onto conveyor · Stack egg flats/boxes on pallets · Inspect and remove eggs based upon food safety and quality specifications · Monitor date code and inform other operators of illegibility per USDA as required · Work in multiple stations with different processing equipment · Move line to line as the flow of the product blend changes throughout the shift · Keep broken eggs off the floor to eliminate potential slips and falls · Keep work area neat and organized and free of trip hazards (banding, pallets, cardboard, etc.
) · Follow all workplace safety procedures as established · Clean-up work area at days end according to established procedures by using chemicals, high-pressure cleaning equipment, simple mechanical tools, and manual scrubbing · Assist other co-workers as needed · Train new employees as needed · Comply with Food Safety and Biosecurity requirements at all times · Perform all other duties as assigned *Job Requirements* · High school diploma or GED preferred · Experience in food processing plant is helpful, but not required · Basic mechanical and math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurements · Able to follow spoken and written instructions in English · Must be reliable and dependable · Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include holidays and extended shift hours · Able to work weekends · Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment · Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds · Capable of standing, bending, turning, and/or walking for 8-12 hours per day · Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds *Biosecurity/Animal Welfare* The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires the strict daily adherence to established biosecurity processes and procedures before entering the facility.
Appropriate clothing and footwear coverings are provided by the Company.
All employees are required to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.
).
