Position Overview: As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of infants and toddlers in our program.
Your responsibilities will focus on providing high-quality early childhood education and care, building strong relationships with families, and fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities tailored to the unique needs of infants and toddlers.
Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
Observe and assess each child's development and progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Build strong partnerships with families through open communication, home visits, and parent-teacher conferences.
Provide individualized support for children with diverse needs and abilities.
Maintain accurate records of child observations, assessments, and developmental milestones.
Collaborate with a team of educators and specialists to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in infant and toddler care and early childhood education.
Ensure compliance with Early Head Start regulations and program standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Infant-Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Passion for working with infants and toddlers, with a deep understanding of early childhood development.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both children and families.
Ability to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for infants, toddlers, and their families.
Commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Previous experience in infant and toddler care and education is preferred.
