Reports to: MDO Director
*Position Summary:*
Under the direction of the MDO Director is responsible for providing safe, nurturing and high-quality care for children during our MDO program, while teaching about the love of Jesus and the importance of the Bible.
*Essential Duties:*
1.
General Duties
● Provides nurturing care and a stimulating, safe environment for the children in your care.
● Teaches using the materials prepared and provided by the MDO Director.
● Works cooperatively and engages with children, parents, MDO staff, church staff, and church members.
● Maintains check-in/check-out policies for children.
● Maintains toys and supplies in the classroom.
● Keeps teaching space, supplies, and toys clean and properly disinfected.
● Ensures all diapers are changed and children who are toilet training are taken to the bathroom regularly.
● Cleans and puts away all toys, disinfects all surfaces, and places trash outside of the room at the end of every session.
● Displays high standards in attitude, outlook, and morals with awareness of the importance of leading by example.
● Practices excellent attendance and punctuality.
● Speaks with the MDO Director regarding any needs or concerns in the classroom.
● Addresses any critical issues, events, problems, parent concerns, or incidents with
MDO Director.

Miscellaneous Duties
● Serves the church family as part of the ministerial staff by personal witnessing, counseling, hospital visitation, and ministry.
● Communicates the Gospel with confidence.
● Exercises initiative and judgment in responding to problems or complaints promptly, courteously, or, if unable or unqualified to assist, promptly refers to the appropriate party.
● Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
The physical demands and environmental factors listed below as well as regular attendance are also essential functions for this position.
*Physical Requirements:*
● Position may involve prolonged standing, sitting, walking, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, bending, talking, and listening.
● Lift, transfer, and carry (up to 50lbs).
● Work tasks are conducted indoors and outdoors.
*Required Qualifications:*
● High School diploma or equivalent is required.
● Albe to achieve and maintain required training and certifications for FBCCS and licensed child-care centers, including CPR and basic life-saving skills.
● Prior experience working with young children, preferably in a church child-care setting.
● Able to work well with others in a team setting and adapt to new circumstances as they arise
● Vigilant in understanding the need for confidentiality; utilizes discernment and godly wisdom
● Attention to detail and organization
● Ability to work independently and cooperatively
● Able to teach, train, relate, and communicate with children and adults
● Willing to seek information, training and resources as needed
● Competent with various forms of computer software and applications
*Preferred Qualifications:*
● Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
● prior experience in early childhood care and education
● Children’s ministry experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.
00 - $13.
50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 22 per week
Schedule:
* 4 hour shift
