As our finance and accounting subject matter expert, our Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Company’s daily, monthly, and annual financial activities, including financial reporting, accounting, and financial statements.
The Breakdown
Oversee Legal Monkeys' financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis
Plan, direct, and manage accounting operations, investing, banking, insurance, securities, and other financial activities
Oversee the cash flow of financial assets
Prepare financial reports
Develop and implement financial and accounting procedures to improve operational efficiency
Evaluate financial reporting systems
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting
Flourish in detail-oriented position
Play as a team to ensure we are consistently finding the best way to operate
Go above and beyond serving the needs of the business
Help to maintain a strong culture of winning and service through hard work and excellence
Think critically through unexpected problems
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related experience required
CPA highly preferred
5 years of Accounting experience required; Public Accounting experience preferred
Management experience preferred
Advanced in MS Excel required
Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, debits, credits, and general ledger reconciliation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and project management skills
Technical skills in strategic and financial planning
Salary dependent upon related experience and education.
This position will be located at our headquarters in College Station, TX.
