Job Title Financial Accountant I Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Research Department Administrative Services Staff Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Monitor aged accounts receivables for Texas A&M Agrilife Research.
Compile monthly reports, administer state hold for payments over 120-days past due and prepare write-off requests to Office of General Council as well as associated year-end entries.
Manage all deposits for Texas A&M Agrilife Research.
Identify banking transactions on reports and statements, communicate with appropriate personnel for entry into FAMIS via iPayments.
Notify manager of unit(s) non-compliance to Texas A&M Agrilife cash handling procedures.
Prepare and process monthly payroll and insurance entries via FAMIS upload process.
Prepare and process daily state reimbursement deposits and expense files via FAMIS upload process.
Prepare and verify correct coding and authorized signatures on all deduct from expense (DFE) and deduct from income (DFI) requests.
Process ACH returns, incoming credit cards and returned checks for Texas A&M Agrililfe Research.
Process and notify units of royalty deposits and associated entries in FAMIS Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Special Knowledge Abilities and Skills: Good computer, communication and accounting/bookkeeping skills Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
