Shoreline Group Ventures, LLC, is currently looking for a *Staff Accountant* with 3+ years experience in accounting to be an integral part of our accounting team.
A successful candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills, be confident and self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy working within a team in a growing and fast-paced environment.

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
* 3+ years of relevant work experience in accounting.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBooks (Desktop preferred).
* Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Great penmanship a must.
* Manage confidential information with discretion.
* Possess the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
*Responsibilities*:
* Primary responsibility is to assist the Controller and Accounting Department in daily business transactions in an efficient and productive manner.
* Assist in managing the company's financial records, including monthly closing procedures and financial statement preparation.
* Assist in managing the company's inventory, including physical counts and reconciliations.
* Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy in several areas of business management paperwork such as insurance renewals, license renewals, and asset lists.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Assist in general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
* Assist in the implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
* Assist in the coordination of audits and other financial reviews.
* Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
* Continuously look for ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
* Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned by the President, Operations Manager, Controller and other upper-management as needed.
* Ability and willingness to cross-train for AR and AP duties.
