*POSITION SUMMARY * This position will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day tasks in the Accounting Department.
In addition, this position will be responsible for daily revenue recordings, licensing, taxes, revenue checks, credit card reconciliations, and assisting in month end processing.
The Accounting Assistant will accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the company.
This position is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within an organization.

Essential Functions Statement(s) * Enter daily revenue information from all Point-of-Sale systems * Responsible for all accounts payable (AP) duties.
* Responsible for all accounts receivable (AR) duties.
* Responsible for reviewing and entering Cost of Goods sold monthly.
* Prepare and process all tax documentation, reports, and deposits including alcohol, federal, and state required taxes.
* Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
* File all records, including but not limited to receipts, purchase orders, state and federal filing documents, reports, invoices, and all other records.
* Work with the Director of Human Resources & Accounting to conduct month end accounting processes.
* Maintain, enter, and reconcile all Company Credit Cards.
* Reconcile all revenue accounts on a semi-monthly basis.
* Reconcile all bank accounts.
* Enter cost transfers between departments.
* Responsible for collecting and maintaining W-9’s for all vendors and providing 1099 forms at the close of the year.
* Perform cost analysis on spending throughout the company.
* Perform other duties as required.
*POSITION QUALIFICATIONS* *Competency Statement(s) * * Requires 3-5 years of related experience in GL, AR/AP, cash control, and Internal Audits * Ability to use a personal computer and proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications * Ability to use a 10 key by touch, type 45-50 words per minute (WPM) and operate a variety of office equipment * Ability to properly discern information * Accounting systems knowledge and specific knowledge of state laws and statutes involving accounting practices, taxes, and human resources * Must have good people skills, be self-motivated, ethical and can work independently to meet necessary deadlines * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form * TABC Certificate & Food Handler’s Certificate *PHYSICAL DEMANDS * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
