We are an ambitious and rapidly growing Landscape Construction company in Northwest Houston, and we are seeking a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our exceptional team.
Our company, Theiss Landscape Works, has been proudly serving Northwest Houston for the past 25 years, creating stunning landscapes and outdoor living spaces for our valued clients.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and have a strong aptitude for handling financial data.
As the Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our operations, performing a variety of duties including accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, handling invoicing, and conducting bank and credit card reconciliations.
Utilizing the powerful QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus software, you will efficiently record financial data as you work closely with our Office Administrator.
In addition to your financial responsibilities, you will also be involved in various front office tasks such as answering phones, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.

At Theiss Landscape Works, we foster a flexible work environment, allowing for a consistent schedule within our hours of operation, which are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
*Required Skills/Experience:* * Exposure to and understanding of broader requirements within small/growing companies * A high degree of ethical standards and a strong sense of teamwork * Proficiency in financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Bank/Credit Card/Loan Reconciliations * Exceptional proficiency in navigating Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel * Basic knowledge and experience using QuickBooks Desktop * Excellent communication skills with a keen focus on customer satisfaction * Strong written and documentation skills, with the ability to consolidate and summarize information effectively * Proven critical thinking skills and the ability to meet deadlines * Effective time management skills, including the ability to plan and prioritize tasks * Outstanding problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to find creative solutions * A minimum of 2 years of work experience in Finance/Accounting If you have experience in more than one of the above areas/disciplines, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliations, or Payroll, your application will be highly regarded.
