*What We Need*
We are adding a Full-Time Staff Accountant that will eagerly perform general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
The right candidate will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least three years of related experience required.
• Dependable and eager to be productive each day.
*What You will Do*
• Prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Review invoice coding, set up new accounts, and reconcile accounts.
• Reconcile bank account at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Execute accounts receivable billing and collections.
• Prepare and files sales tax returns.
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Controller you will report to.
*Who You Are*
• Possess knowledge of general financial accounting.
• Easily trained in new software.
• Verbal and written communication skills are excellent.
• Extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Receives constructive criticism in a professional manner.
*Essential Functions of the Position*
• Understanding of and able to adhere to accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office setting.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Can pass pre-employment background check and drug screening that is required.
